"Early on I had promised my mother we would not subject her to a “memory care” facility or nursing facility unless her condition became so extreme there would be absolutely no choice.
After caring for her here at home for years, things became too difficult for my wife and I on our own.

We hired another local Home Care Service who provided a great deal for help up the point when Mom’s condition became too difficult for them to handle. That’s when we found Geraldine.

Ubuntu Elder Home Care’s rate was a little more but the difference in staff understanding, ability, consistency,  and level of care was far beyond what we had experienced from the prior service. There are many specific’s I could point to in support of this claim but there’s probably not sufficient space to do so in this form.

My mother passed peacefully two weeks ago here at home. In the final days she had someone with her bedside 24/7.  I believe she received far better care than she would have had in a facility which also would have been far more costly.
We are forever grateful for Geraldine and her crew for helping us and especially Mom get through this without having to resort to the trauma of relocating her to a facility." - Wes W.
